Resilience is now understood in psychology as something that is learnt. This is good news as it means we can all learn to increase our resilience through evidence-based research. We have studied the traits of resilience, and we can now teach these in a way that can be adopted by everyone. Resilience is correlated with happiness and wellbeing, and this workshop explores how we can become more resilient in the face of difficulty and improve our wellbeing.
This workshop answers the following questions:
- What is resilience?
- Are we born being resilient, or is resilience learnt?
- What makes up a resilient individual?
- What are the underlying mechanisms behind resilience?
- How are our emotional states related to resilience?
- What does the neuroscience say?
- How can we adopt these traits of resilience?
- How can I take short practical steps to make this work for me?
The workshop is jam packed with science and comes with lifetime access so that you can go back and watch as many times as you like.

Here's what previous participants have said:
"I have just watched the recording of the one-hour workshop on The Science of Resilience. It was BRILLIANT! Chris explains everything so well and makes something potentially quite complicated, very easy to follow and understand. I can’t wait to do the 5-day Challenge. I'm sure this course will enrich lots of people's lives". Sue, Chiropractor
"The resilience workshop was one of the best workshops Chris has done. I was amazed by how much it is science based and Chris made it very easy to understand the neuroscience behind resilience. This together helped me to be more motivated in trying the techniques taught in the workshop. The 5 day challenge after the workshop also helped to really set that in motion, which now even after a few months, I still use. Thank you so much!" Nanda, Physiotherapist
